The short version
Bamboo Bar & Grill has a live band on six nights a week and a DJ on the seventh, on Jl. Kartika Plaza in Kuta, next door to Waterbom Bali. Bands start at 8:30pm and there is no cover charge, so you pay for what you eat and drink and nothing else.
Sunday and Monday are Captain of Soul, Tuesday is Canopy, Wednesday is Funtastiq, Thursday is Black and White and Friday is Rose and Beat. Saturday is DJ Vive from 9pm, when the room turns over from dinner to a dance floor. The kitchen runs the full menu from 9am to 10pm, so you can eat before the band or through the first set, and the bar stays open until midnight. Every one of these acts has been resident here for more than five years, so they know the room. Line-ups shift around public holidays, so message us if you are coming for a particular band.

Saturday is the big one
Vive starts at nine and the room turns over from dinner to a dance floor. Two for one cocktails run from nine until we close. Book early if you want a table rather than a spot at the bar.

Is there a cover charge?
No. There is no door charge on any night. You pay for food and drinks only.

Can we eat while the band is on?
Yes. The kitchen serves the full menu until 10pm, an hour and a half after the band starts, and the bar runs until midnight.

Yes, and plenty of people take the mic as well.
Do we need to book?
Saturdays, public holidays and Australian school holidays fill up. A table takes about thirty seconds to book on WhatsApp.
