The short version
Bamboo Bar & Grill takes private functions on Jl. Kartika Plaza in Kuta, next door to Waterbom Bali: wedding receptions and after parties, 30ths through 60ths, hens and bucks nights, work dinners and end of season nights, footy trips, golf groups and supporters clubs.
The room is open air bamboo and thatch with a garden area with a sand floor, a stage with a resident band six nights a week, twelve screens, a microphone and a full bar. Menus are fixed price and customised to suit your budget: Australian beef, Jimbaran seafood, Indonesian and vegetarian dishes, and a gluten free menu. Bring your own cake or we will supply one. To get a quote, message us with roughly how many people you are expecting, what the occasion is, and the budget you are working to, and we will come back with a menu, drinks options and a layout for the room.
The room takes up to 200 people with some of them standing. Birthday packages start at 250k++ a head for 15 to 18 guests, and a 10% deposit holds the date. There is a microphone but no projector.

Weddings
Usually the reception or the after party rather than the ceremony. Plenty of Australian couples who wanted somewhere loud instead of a hotel ballroom.
Birthdays
30ths through 60ths, hens and bucks. Bring your cake or we'll supply one, and the band will take a request.
Work functions
Team dinners, client nights, end of season. Screens do a presentation or the game, whichever you prefer.
Sporting groups
Footy trips, golf groups, supporters' clubs. We'll block out a section with screens on it.
Big tables
Family groups and tour parties. Set menus so the kitchen can get everyone fed at the same time.
Anything else
Engagements, anniversaries, farewells, reunions. Ask and we'll tell you straight whether we can do it.

- Shared starters. Garlic baguette, chicken spring rolls, Bamboo chicken wings.
- Mains, choose two. Chicken parmagiana, traditional nasi goreng, mie goreng seafood, pad Thai chicken noodles.

350k++ per person
- Shared starters. Bruschetta, crispy squid, chicken croquettes.
- Mains, choose three. Slow roasted pork belly, BBQ char grill pork chops, seafood linguini, chicken parmagiana, beer batter fish and chips, beef rendang.
- Sides. Chips, green salad, steamed rice.
- Drinks. Soft drink, juice or local beer.

Platinum
500k++ per person
- Premium starters. King tiger prawn cocktail, crispy squid, garlic king prawn cutlets, freshly shucked oysters.
- Sharing platters. Bamboo mixed grill, bourbon sauce pork rib eye, seafood trio, Australian prime rib eye boneless.
- Sides. Garlic mash, sauteed vegetables, green salad, chips.
- Drinks. Free flow soft drinks.

How many people can you take?
Up to 200 with some of them standing. The exact seated and standing split depends how you want the room laid out, so tell us the number and we will tell you what works.
What sort of functions do you take?
Wedding receptions and after parties, birthdays from 30ths through 60ths, hens and bucks nights, work dinners, end of season nights, footy trips, golf groups, supporters clubs, engagements, anniversaries, farewells and reunions.
What do the birthday packages cost?
Silver is 250k++ per person, Gold is 350k++ and Platinum is 500k++, all for groups of 15 to 18. The ++ means 10% government tax and 6% service on top, the same as the menu. So 15 guests on Silver is about 3,750k++.
How do I get a quote?
Message us with three things: roughly how many people, what the occasion is, and the budget you are working to. We come back with a fixed-price menu built to that budget, drinks options and a layout for the room.
Can we get a set menu?
Yes. Menus are fixed price and customised to suit your budget, so the kitchen can get everyone fed at the same time.
What deposit do you take, and what if we cancel?
A 10% deposit holds the date. If you cancel you lose the deposit and nothing more.
Can we bring a cake?
Bring your own, or we will supply one, or add one to a birthday package from 250k.
Is there a microphone or a projector?
There is a microphone. There is no projector. The twelve screens are set up for the sport, so if you need slides up on them, ask us first and we will tell you straight whether we can do it.
Is there a band on?
There is a resident band six nights a week from 8:30pm and DJ Vive on Saturdays, and the band will take a request.
